英語の翻訳ができなくて困っています。　（長文）スピーチコンテストの原稿なのですが、翻訳サイトでもよく分からない文になってしまいます。本当に勝手で申し訳ないのですが、英訳してくださる方よろしくお願いします。割り箸から学ぶ私たち日本人が普段何気なく使う、「割り箸」。この割り箸から地球の環境問題を考えてみた。皆さんは私たち日本人が年間どの程度割り箸を使用しているか、ご存知だろうか？日本では国民１人辺り約２００膳もの割り箸を１年間で消費しているのである。しかも、その原料の９０％は中国から輸入しているのだ。はたして、中国の森林は大丈夫なのだろうか？森林が無くなり、被害がでているのではないだろうか？その２点を調べてみると、やはり森林は減少しており、伐採することにより森林のダムとしての機能が失われる。また、伐採後の土地の多くが農業地に利用され、元の場所に森林が再生されることはないことを知った。このままでは、あと数十年の内にそれらは本当になくなってしまうのではないか。私は森林の未来が心配になりました。本来、割り箸とは低利用木から作られてきた。この他に利用法がないため、木材の値段も低いものだった。しかし、外国材の大量輸入が始まって割り箸を作ることを目的としてわざわざ天然林の木材を大量に輸入するようになった。そのため現在、他国の環境が危ぶまれているのだ。ではいったいどうしたら、この文だしを解決することができるのだろうか？まず最も単純で皆が出来る活動はリサイクルだと思う。使用済みの割り箸とはいえ、まだ木材のままだ。色々な木材の用途に再利用することができる。現在最も有名なのは、パルプ原料としてのリサイクルだ。製紙工場に集められ、他のパルプチップと混ぜられ、紙パルプの原料の一部になる。資料によると、割り箸１０ｋｇでなんとティッシュ１５箱分も作ることができるのである。私はリサイクルの力は素晴らしいと思う。割り箸にもリサイクルの制度を作れば、ゴミの分別と同じく割り箸を減らしていくことも不可能ではないと私は思う。(続きを読む)
